Island Batik Ambassador Treasures from July 2020 Unboxing

Join me as I share the contents of the July 2020 Island Batik Ambassador boxes of quilting supplies. Island Batik and its industry partners provide these materials twice per year for monthly challenges. In addition to Island Batik fabrics, this box includes threads from Aurifil, batting from Hobbs, a GO!me from Accuquilt, a pattern and backpack kit from By Annie and a ruler from Studio 180 Design. Excuse the crazy face…one day I will learn how to post a more flattering image.

Amazing and Generous Fabrics from Island Batik

A pack of 20 Smooch fat quarters from designer Kathy Engle’s Fall/Winter 2019 Collection. I’m not sure who gets to name the collections but they really nailed it on this one! These are available in stores now.

Island Batik Solids four-yard cuts each of black, white and gray. The high thread count and lovely drape make a great addition to any quilt.

A four-yard cut of Milkshake in soft light shades. Island Batik Neutrals collection adds a welcome feel of texture to the lighter areas of your quilting project.

A foundation bundle of half yard cuts of six basics, blenders and solids. They include solids, mottles and tone on tone that complement the seasonal lines.

This bundle of six half yard cuts are pulled right out of nature. They will work well in the Inspired by Nature Blog Hop scheduled for November.

Blue and yellow are among my favorite color combos and these pre-cuts from designer Kathy Engle are no exception. The Buttercup strip set features two each of twenty fabrics. The bundle of 2-1/2 wide by width of fabric pieces includes two 2 yard cuts of coordinating fabric.

Stash builder packs bring on the patriotic colors. There are two bundles of five rolls for a total of ten. Each roll contains four 5” by width of fabric strips.

The second is Venetian Marble by Claudia Pfeil with eleven 1/2 yard cuts and will be used in the November Blog Hop.

This is a 2-1/4” by 25-yard roll

GO!me Fabric Cutter Starter Set from Accuquilt for the Christmas in July Challenge. Watch for a blog post about this fun giveaway later this month. This recently released machine is even more portable allowing quilters to take the GO!me with them to classes and retreats. It gives new quilter confidence in their quilting faster and improves the workmanship of experienced quilters. This model works just like the original GO!
